Born in 1992, Iran, Elahe Panahi is an Internationally Exhibited Interdisciplinary Visual Artist and Artistic Director whose practice spans classical photographic forms, visual design, and conceptual video art. She holds an MA in Illustration from Tehran Central Azad University and a BA in Visual Communication.
Panahi’s body of work—spanning photography, photomontage, and video art—is rooted in a critical examination of contemporary issues, including ecological precarity, gender justice, female agency and the deconstruction of identity. By employing visual metaphors and drawing upon personal memory, she explores the fragile coexistence between humanity and nature, as well as the impact of structural violence on contemporary life. Her work transcends mere aesthetics, aiming to create a space for social reflection and psychological healing in the face of global crises.
With a consistent international presence, Panahi’s solo and collaborative projects have been featured in prominent exhibitions across the UK, USA, Italy, Armenia, Malaysia and Iran. Her professional trajectory includes high-profile collaborations, notably with the Embassy of France in Iran, where she was a laureate of the Contemporary Art Design Competition. Operating at the intersection of independent fine art and professional visual communication, she demonstrates a sophisticated capacity for leading complex artistic projects and fostering cross-border cultural dialogues.
She leverages design thinking and visual precision to translate these complex conceptual narratives into impactful media, utilizing her expertise in graphic communication to refine the delivery and clarity of her video art and photomontage projects.
Through her evolving practice, she continues to contribute to the critical discourse on contemporary society, positioning her work at the forefront of emerging conceptual visual art from the region.
