Top Laureate & Prize Winner
Organized by the French Embassy in Iran
Tehran, Iran | 2021
Elahe Panahi was selected as a Top Laureate in the Graphic Commission competition organized by the French Embassy in Iran on the occasion of the European Heritage Days. The initiative supported contemporary artistic approaches engaging with the shared twentieth-century architectural heritage of Iran and France.
The award recognized a research-based visual practice focusing on architectural memory, cultural translation, and the re-examination of historical forms through a contemporary lens. This recognition led to her invitation to participate in a subsequent visual commission and the development of the official poster series within a contemporary cultural and artistic program.
Through a contemporary visual approach, the work examines how graphic language can re-engage cultural heritage and reposition architectural identity within contemporary interpretative frameworks.
Outcome: Selected Artist for Art déco & Mouvement Moderne, Paris – Téhéran
